Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before using Chroma.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Chroma mobile application (available on iOS and Android) ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

These Terms apply in addition to Apple's App Store Terms of Service (iOS) or Google Play Terms of Service (Android), which also govern your use of the App.

2. Description of Service

Chroma is a real-time color vision correction camera application for iOS and Android. It applies digital image filters designed to assist users with color vision deficiencies in perceiving color differences more clearly. The App is provided free of charge and is supported by advertising.

3. License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Chepics grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use Chroma on any iOS or Android device that you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use.

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute the App or its content
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Use the App for any commercial purpose without our express written consent
  • Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations

4. Permissions Required

Chroma requires the following device permissions to function:

  • Camera – Required to display and capture a live filtered camera view.
  • Photo Library (write only) – Required to save captured photos to your Camera Roll.
  • Tracking (iOS ATT / Android Ads setting) – Optional. Used to display personalized advertisements via Google AdMob. Non-personalized ads are shown if permission is denied. On Android, you can opt out via Settings → Google → Ads.

5. Advertising

Chroma displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. The following ad formats are used:

  • Banner ads – displayed at the bottom of the photo review screen.
  • Interstitial ads – full-screen ads shown approximately every three photo saves.
  • App Open ads – shown when you return to the app from the background, at most once every four hours.

Advertising is subject to Google's advertising policies. Chepics is not responsible for the content of advertisements displayed by Google AdMob.

6. Not a Medical Device

Chroma is not a medical device and is not intended for use in medical diagnosis, treatment, or prevention of disease. The filters are provided for general accessibility and convenience purposes only. Users should not rely on the App for any medical purpose. If you have concerns about your vision, please consult a qualified eye care professional.

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, graphics, and content, is owned by Chepics and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use the "Chroma" name, logo, or other trademarks of Chepics.

Photos captured using the App belong to you. Chepics does not claim any ownership over photos you capture and save.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Chepics does not warrant that:

  • The App will meet your specific requirements
  • The App will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
  • The color correction filters will produce clinically accurate results for any individual's color vision deficiency
  • Any defects in the App will be corrected

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, Chepics SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR ANY OTHER DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE APP, EVEN IF Chepics HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability, Chepics's liability shall be limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

10. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

11. Third-Party Services

The App uses Google AdMob and Google User Messaging Platform, which are subject to Google's Terms of Service. Chepics is not responsible for the terms, privacy practices, or content of third-party services.

12. Changes to the App and Terms

Chepics reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any feature thereof at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

第1条 規約への同意

Chroma モバイルアプリケーション（iOS・Android 対応、以下「本アプリ」）をダウンロード・インストール・使用することにより、お客様は本利用規約（以下「本規約」）に同意したものとみなします。同意しない場合は、本アプリをご利用いただけません。

本規約は、Apple の App Store 利用規約（iOS）または Google Play 利用規約（Android）と併せて適用されます。

第2条 サービスの内容

Chroma は iOS・Android 向けのリアルタイム色覚補正カメラアプリケーションです。色覚の特性を持つユーザーが色の違いをより明確に認識できるよう設計されたデジタル画像フィルターを提供します。本アプリは無料で提供されており、広告収入によって運営されています。

第3条 ライセンス

本規約への遵守を条件として、Chepics はお客様に対し、お客様が所有または管理する iOS または Android デバイスにおいて、個人的・非商業的目的に限り、Chroma をダウンロードして使用するための限定的・非独占的・譲渡不可・取消可能なライセンスを付与します。

お客様は以下の行為を行ってはなりません：

  • 本アプリまたはそのコンテンツの複製・改変・配布
  • 本アプリのリバースエンジニアリング・逆コンパイル・逆アセンブル
  • 当社の書面による同意なく本アプリを商業目的で使用すること
  • 法令・規制に違反する方法での本アプリの使用

第4条 必要な権限

本アプリの動作には以下のデバイス権限が必要です：

  • カメラ：フィルタリングされたリアルタイムプレビューの表示および撮影に必要です。
  • 写真ライブラリ（書き込みのみ）：撮影した写真をカメラロールに保存するために必要です。
  • トラッキング（iOS ATT / Android 広告設定）：任意。Google AdMob によるパーソナライズ広告の表示に使用されます。拒否した場合は非パーソナライズ広告が表示されます。Android では 設定 → Google → 広告 からオプトアウトできます。

第5条 広告

Chroma は Google AdMob が提供する以下の広告フォーマットを表示します：

  • バナー広告：写真確認画面の下部に表示されます。
  • インタースティシャル広告：写真を3回保存するごとに1回、全画面広告が表示されます。
  • App Open 広告：バックグラウンドから復帰する際に、最大4時間に1回表示されます。

広告は Google の広告ポリシーに従います。Google AdMob により表示される広告の内容について、Chepics は責任を負いません。

第6条 医療機器ではないことについて

本アプリは医療機器ではなく、疾病の診断・治療・予防を目的としていません。各フィルターは日常的なアクセシビリティおよび利便性の向上を目的として提供されています。医療上の用途に本アプリを使用しないでください。視力・色覚に関してご心配な点がある場合は、眼科専門医にご相談ください。

第7条 知的財産

本アプリのデザイン・コード・グラフィック・コンテンツを含むすべての権利は Chepics に帰属し、適用される知的財産法によって保護されます。本規約のいかなる規定も、お客様に「Chroma」の名称・ロゴその他の商標を使用する権利を付与するものではありません。

本アプリを使用して撮影した写真の権利はお客様に帰属します。Chepics は、お客様が撮影・保存した写真に対していかなる所有権も主張しません。

第8条 保証の免責

本アプリは「現状のまま」「利用可能な状態で」提供されるものであり、商品性・特定目的への適合性・非侵害性を含む一切の明示的または黙示的保証を行いません。

Chepics は以下について保証しません：

  • 本アプリがお客様の特定の要件を満たすこと
  • 本アプリが中断・遅延・障害なく動作すること
  • 色覚補正フィルターが個々の色覚特性に対して臨床的に正確な結果を提供すること
  • 本アプリの不具合が修正されること

第9条 責任の制限

適用法令の最大限の範囲において、Chepics は、本アプリの使用に起因する間接的・偶発的・特別・結果的損害（データの損失・利益の損失を含む）に対して、たとえ当社がそのような損害の可能性について知らされていたとしても、一切の責任を負いません。

一部の保証の除外または責任の制限を認めない法域では、Chepics の責任は法律で認められる最大限の範囲に限定されます。

第10条 プライバシー

本アプリのご利用は、本規約に参照として組み込まれた プライバシーポリシー にも従います。

第11条 第三者サービス

本アプリは Google AdMob および Google User Messaging Platform を使用しており、これらは Google の利用規約 に従います。第三者サービスの規約・プライバシー慣行・コンテンツについて、Chepics は責任を負いません。

第12条 変更

Chepics は予告なく本アプリの変更・一時停止・終了を行う権利を留保します。本規約も随時更新されることがあります。変更後の規約は発効日とともに本ページに掲載されます。変更後も本アプリをご利用になる場合、更新された規約に同意したものとみなします。

第13条 準拠法

本規約は、法の抵触に関する規定を適用することなく、日本国の法律に従い解釈されます。
